SNPA Report on Italy’s air quality 2020

Take a deep breath before reading this report. Wait, maybe it’s better not! SNPA has analyzed the air quality status and trend in the period 2009-2019 in Italy, showing how the limit and target values provided by the legislation for particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide, ground level ozone and benzo(a)pyrene are still exceeded in different parts of Italy. Italy, and particularly the Po basin, is still one of the most polluted areas in Europe.
